Great News!

Family and Friends; Good news at the Hawkins house. I had an ultrasound today. I am 32 weeks or 7 1/2 months along. Everything is sooo good. According to the measurements, our little girl is 4 lbs 10 oz. I cannot express what a burden that takes off of my mind. To know that she is healthy, growing, and bigger than Allison was when she was born. I really think that this little girl will get to come home with me when I come home. That makes me excited and takes away so much anxiety. So two claps for me and three cheers for this little one!!!

Trick or Treating

We had a blast trick or treating with the Hawkins and our new little cousin baby Josh. I needed to take more good pictures! Jess dressed as Frankenstein. He actually walked around the whole neighborhood wearing those stilts!!
Jess is holding Allison, our little monkey. Audrey is a good 'ole witch. Brandon really wanted to be a chimney sweep. It was his idea and it was really cute. The children have been watching Mary Poppins. It is the favorite movie at our house.

Big daddy Josh was painted as a Rodeo clown with his sidekick cowboy, little Josh. Andrea--I somehow missed a picture of her. She was a Gypsie. She always makes cool costumes!

Thanks guy for a great Halloween. We loved it!

Some Halloween Fun!

Our Halloween party was so much fun! Thanks for all the family who came to participate. We really had a great time! The costumes were fun, dinner was great, and games made us all laugh.

Andrea and Joseph chose to be a hunter and a bunny. Hmmm, interesting combination......

Monica was a flying squirrel (I didn't have a picture of her 'wings' spread) and Jared was Alfalfa.

Melissa joined us as a flapper girl and Grandma and Grandpa Al got into the festivities too!

Krista came as a Nun--a true nun because Thayne stayed home with Quinn. Collin, Hannah and Simon were all dressed for the season. Mom and Dad were twin bakers, Dallin a judge, Justin the strongest man there, and Aaron just blended into the rest ;)


Darin and Angie's clan were all medical MD's and Dr.'s Nick dressed as Yosemite Sam and the party was really over when that fat lady sang.



We had a pumpkin throw competition. Congratulations to Uncle Wayne. This was his winning throw--right into the target zone, hitting the center pole only to stop and rest against it! We also had an 'assemble the skeleton' relay. We had to catch the real surgeons in action....
Halloween was great fun for us this year. Thanks for making memories with us!!

Audrey's Birthday!

For Audrey's birthday we went to Jumping Jacks as a family and with a few of our good friends:Tait and Kenzie Prothero, and the Winters family-Jane, Kolbe and Dorothy.

Jumping Jacks has a whole bunch of blown up jumping toys. We really had a good time. You cannot be there for more than two hours because it is so tiring. It was a great time, even for the adults!

Audrey was happy with some new shoes, jump ropes, and most important, a new big bike with gears and hand brakes like Brandon's.

Girls in the Morning

What do my girls like to do every morning? Any guesses?? Spend time in the bathroom. Audrey loves to curl her hair and put on her makeup. Allison would never dream of being left out. Because Audrey is such a good sister she puts makeup on Allison. What little girl doesn't love to play 'grown-up'? They are so much fun!!

School begins!

This is Brandons first day of First Grade. We really enjoyed riding bikes while the weather was warm. He is loving school, does very well reading and with his math.
I also posted a picture of Bobby, our new dog.
He is really Brandon's dog and Brandon takes care of him. It has been really good for him to have the responsibility to take care of a pet. We built a pen in the backyard by the wood shed.

Audrey's Imagination

The other day I took Audrey on some errands through downtown Springville. She was sitting in the back as we were driving down Main Street. Suddenly she spoke up and said "Mom, I saw that man and his horse. They were stoned!" This shocked me a bit, and I murmered some response quickly thinking in my mind where she had seen that! Maybe on Channel 7 or 11. Nick does like to watch the historical documentaries. Well, my mind quickly moved on. A few days passed and again we were in the car driving down Main Street and Audrey said again "Mom, I saw that man and his horse stoned. That is sad!" My mind began to race again and this time the gears worked together. I realized that she was talking about the statues that decorate Main Street.
They were 'stoned'.

Brandon's Day

In my haste to blog our awesome vacation, I happened to miss Brandon's Kindergarten 'graduation'. It was great to see him so proud and to have a special day.

First Brandon's class did a short program of songs and poems that they had memorized.

Then his teacher, Mrs. Sabey called them all up to stand on her little stool and announced that they had graduated from Kindergarten.

Finally, here is a picture that Brandon made for his teacher. It said "I love Mrs. Sabey. She is my best teacher. She hung it on the chalk board. It made Brandon feel very special. She was an excellent teacher for him. Thanks Mrs. Sabey!!

Just a picture of the happy family!

Here is Joe Hawks and his little guy Tanner. Our friends that invited us. I don't know what our problem is, but we came home with many pictures of our children and not one of our friends. Sorry Joe and Ashley!

The botanical garden was suprisingly very fun and relaxing. For all who doubt, you have to check one out! It was beautiful.

Steamboat Springs

Our very first vacation and we really didn't take a lot of pictures. How sad. We went with some friends to Steamboat Springs, Colorado, there is a reason they call it "Colorful Colorado". We had such a good time. Nothing to serious or worth getting uptight about, we relaxed and enjoyed our beautiful surroundings. We did a little hiking to Fish Creek Falls. Allison really enjoyed the water fall. Anytime she sees a little water and mountains see wants to hike to the "wawer fall". Allison sure had fun with her friend Tanner Hawks, son or our friends Joe and Ashley Hawks (We promise to post a picture of them later). We also stopped on our way home and saw the dinosaurs in Vernal.
























The best treat of our trip was the business sign we saw in Roosevelt, Utah. It reminded us of Laura's mother. Not may people have Nedra as a first name.

Memorial Day

We all had so much fun visiting with family over Memorial Day at Grandma Nicholas' home. She is getting so tired and slow, but alway full of fire and spice. It was a wonderful weekend to see her and most of our cousins. It did however rain most of Monday which was nice in a way because we were able to visit longer with family. Most of our pictures come from Brandon, our little photograher.

Krista Came to Springville!!

Krista and her children came to visit us in Springville. We really had a great time. It was perfect timing because both Thayne and Nick were out of town (not together though) and so we had a Springville Sleepover. The toy of the day was a wire spool that Nick brought home from work. It was so much fun to watch the children love being together.
On Saturday we went swimming at an indoor pool. It was perfect. This area of the pool was just perfect for Allison. She could stand up and walk around. She loved the freedom. And the slide was just Audrey's size. She could go up and down as she pleased.

As for Brandon and Collin, they were off playing while I had the camera out, so I missed their picture. After swimming we had a little picnic across the street. Here are Brandon and Collin.
